As a parent, you are your child’s first and most important teacher. While the family is the single most important influence in a child’s life, in South Hampton Roads, more than 52,000 or 62% of children under age six spend all or part of their day in the care of someone other than their parents.
The fact is that children are more likely to succeed in school and in life if they have high quality early learning experiences.
